Making billing easier for CCMS users

The process before

Previously, users had to manually select either 'yes' or 'no' to each question in the billing interview before they could submit their bill.

The process now

Now, questions will default to the most common answer making the process more efficient.

Does this apply to all aspects of billing?

Default answers apply to all aspects of billing including counsel fees. This means that questions relating to the Family Advocacy Scheme and Family Graduated Fee Scheme will also default to the most common answer.

Can default answers be changed?

Default answers can be changed before the bill is submitted and the system will notify you if the answers you have selected are incorrect.

This improvement builds on previous work to default answers in both the means and merits interviews meaning that the end to end process of submitting a legal aid application and billing for that work is now more intuitive and user friendly.
